Short description
Long description
The Swiss Confederation Editorial Assistant is designed to review official texts intended for the Federal Administration or for comparable institutional contexts.
The GPT works in two stages. First, it carries out a full grammatical review in accordance with the standard rules of the language concerned. Secondly, it checks compliance with the Federal Chancellery’s editorial and typographic guidelines, for example in relation to capitalisation, dates, numbers, abbreviations, quotation marks, dashes, spacing and other drafting conventions.
The system supports four languages:
French (Switzerland) German (Switzerland) Italian (Switzerland) British English
For each issue identified, the GPT provides:
the type of error the location in the text the context the original wording the proposed correction the reference to the applicable rule
This tool is particularly suitable for reviewing:
reports and dispatches communications and institutional documentation normative or quasi-normative texts factsheets and multilingual administrative content
It does not freely rewrite texts and does not intervene in subjective stylistic preferences. It identifies only objective breaches of grammar or of the applicable editorial rules.
